DJ’s Homemade Taco Seasoning

The other day I was making tacos and realized that I had forgotten to buy some taco seasoning.  I searched on the Internet and found the ingredients that are usually found in the store bought packets.  I tweaked the recipe just a little and voila!  My family seems to like this better than the store bought mix.

(This recipe is for use with one pound of ground beef or the same amount of seasoning that you would usually find in one regular packet of seasoning.)

1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
1/4 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/4 Tsp. Onion Powder
1/4 Tsp. Dried Oregano
1/2 Tsp. Paprika
1 1/2 Tsp. Ground Cumin
1 tsp. Sea Salt

Heat Variables (adjust as needed for your own preferences):
1/4 Tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1/4 Tsp. Jalapeno Powder
1 Tsp. Black Pepper

Mix together all of the ingredients and put them on your browned ground beef (drain grease if necessary) and then pour in 1/3 cup of water and reheat. Enjoy!
