Yes, You Can Milk a Naked Mole Rat
My daughter and I were having one of those interesting conversations that we often have at night right before it is time for her to go to bed. I believe she is delaying the inevitable.
Anyway, we were talking about our dream of someday living on a farm and she told me that she wished she had a fainting goat. Yes, that is a thing. I told her that she could have a nanny but not a billy because billy goats were sometimes mean. She said that would be great because nanny goats give milk.
I agreed and then we launched into a conversation about mammals and lactation. Thus, the question occurred. Can you milk a naked mole rat? I don’t even begin to understand the mind of a fourteen-year-old. I just try to answer the questions to the best of my ability.
Isn’t that how life as a Christian often works as well? We don’t understand why we are presented with the challenges but we all are. Life is just going along and then something else happens that we have to deal with.
Sometimes we respond well and sometimes we struggle. Being a Christian doesn’t make us immune to fear, pain, loneliness, error or any of those things that make us human. However, it does give us the strength to pick ourselves back up if need be and get through them. It gives us the hope that we need to just keep going.
If you feel like life is overwhelming and you can’t figure out where help is going to come from- Your help is from the Lord.
Dust off your Bible and read some encouragement. Get down on your knees and ask God for help and praise Him for your blessings. Go to church and seek out other Christians for fellowship and support. You wanted to know what you should do. This is what you should do. ((HUGS))
